MakCHS Becomes a Member of the Prestigious US-based Association of Academic Health Centres International

The College of Health Sciences has been officially accorded membership of the Association of Academic Health Centres International (AAHCI). This means that the College will begin participating in international fora convened by the association. MakCHS and Duke University agree to have Stronger Bond by Exploring more areas of Collaboration

Makerere University College of Health Sciences and the Duke University, USA, have held discussions geared at strengthening the collaboration between the two institutions.

Areas that were identified for further collaboration included Rehabilitation medicine, critical care nursing, mental health, cancer diagnosis (especially prostate and breast cancer), among others. Ôö¼├í

Makerere University Special Graduation List July 2011

Makerere University will hold its Special Graduation Ceremony on Friday 22nd July 2011 in the Main Hall, Main Building. This is a fulfillment of the pledge made during the 61st Graduation Ceremony, held from 17th ├ö├ç├┤ 21st January 2011.The Chancellor, Professor George Mondo Kagonyera will confer degrees and award diplomas to 1,190 graduands, of whom 705 are male and 485 are female. East African Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene

The East African Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene is a new postgraduate certificate awarded by LSHTM. It is a three month, full time short course taught by School staff and colleagues in Tanzania and Uganda.
