Department of Pharmacy

History
The Department started in 1988 with one programme i.e. Bachelor of Pharmacy, and seven staff only. Student Admission was 10 per year. There was no research or collaboration. The duration then was 4 years.

Currently
There are three programmes:
1. Bachelor of Pharmacy (5 years, Enrollment 50 per year),
2. Master of Science in Pharmaceuticals and Health Supplies Management (2 years, Enrollment 10 per year), and
3. Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy (2 years, Enrollment 25 per year).

Collaboration
1. IDI (Infectious Diseases Institute) Mak-CHS, on Antimicrobial Stewardship,
2. El Alto Foundation, on Hospital Pharmacy and Compounding, and Research, and
3. National Drug Authority (NDA), and
4. MSH, Medicines Supplies Management.

1. Medicines and Other Products Development,
2. Quality of Medicines,
3. Food Safety, and
4. Product Use.
