We are pleased to announce the third intake of the Certificate in Health Systems Research, offered by the Department of Health Policy Planning and Management (HPPM) at Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH). This short course aims to provide participants with essential skills and knowledge in conducting health systems research.

The 2-week course will be delivered by both internal and external lecturers with vast experience in health systems and will enable participants to acquire core competencies in health systems research in order to strengthen the health system and its responsiveness to the needs and expectations of the population.

By the end of the session, participants will be better prepared to identify appropriate health systems research themes, problems and questions that are context specific, design appropriate interventions to address priority health system issues and package and communicate health system evidence (information) to different stakeholders, while appreciating the multiple perspectives that are inherent in and can strengthen high-quality HSR among others.

To accommodate all people easily, the training will be blended, with lectures and seminars starting 2:00pm from 7th - 18th August 2023. Please apply by 31st July 2023.
