Training: Raymond received his MPH in 2010 from Makerere University School of Public Health in Uganda. His background training includes a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and a postgraduate diploma in development studies (PGD) both from Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda. Raymond will commence his full-time PhD studies in October 2012 in Health systems at the University of Manchester, UK, School of Community Based Medicine.   Current position:Raymond is currently a Research Fellow working as the Senior Resident Mentor for the Master of Public Health, full-time program at Makerere University supported by the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET). In this position, he mentors public health Masters Students in field epidemiology, research methods and scientific writing and supports their applications for research grants and International Conferences. Raymond is also the Coordinator for the Family Health Research and Development Center (FHRDC) a program established in 2011 as a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins University.   Research:Has a keen research interest in maternal health care utilization including the role of male partners in reproductive health care and health systems.
