Rawlance Ndejjo

Dr. Rawlance Ndejjo is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health at Makerere University School of Public Health. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Antwerp, Belgium; an MSc Environmental Health degree from the University of the West of England, United Kingdom; and a Bachelor of Environmental Health Sciences degree from Makerere University. His research is in non-communicable diseases, epidemics, and climate change and health co-authoring over 100 peer-reviewed articles. Rawlance is the Coordinator of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health, a collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Makerere University and the Patron of the Youth Initiative for Sustainable Health (YISH), a students’ club at Makerere University. He was in 2020 nominated by the Africa Academy of Sciences to attend the prestigious Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in Lindau, Germany. In 2021, he received the CUGH Drs. Anvar and Pari Velji Young African Leader Award for exceptional ability and commitment to improving the wellbeing of individuals in low-income settings.
