Michael Oryema-Lalobo is a senior member of the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health, with long teaching experience in vector-borne disease control and medical parasitology. He is a holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science of Makerere University and a Master of Science in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology and Public Health in the University of Miami, Florida. He has had exposures when undergoing specialized trainings in various universities around the world. These to name but a few included trainings in University of California Los Angeles and Charles Drew Post-graduate Medical School at Dr. Martin Luther King University Hospital laboratories for microbiological techniques, University of Florida Entomological Research Station at Vero Beach, and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and University of Nairobi for entomological techniques, Johns Hopkins School of Public Hygiene for a Certificate in Tropical Medicine. Michael Oryema-Lalobo is currently a doctoral degree candidate with interest in malaria field epidemiological studies, in which his latest publication is Community health seeking practices for the management of malaria of the under-five in Bugiri District, Uganda.
