White Coat Ceremony at MakCHS

On 12 th March 2026, medical students at Makerere University were urged to wear the white coat with humility as they begin their journey in the medical profession. The call was made during the White Coat Ceremony held at the Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS) in Mulago.
 

The White Coat Ceremony marks the beginning of a new journey in healthcare and symbolises professionalism, compassion and excellence. It represents not only the mastery of medical knowledge but also a promise always to place patients at the centre of care.
