Dr Paul Bangirana is a Psychologist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Makerere University where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate students. He also provides clinical services in the Department’s mental health unit. He has a joint PhD award in Neuropsychology from Karolinska Institutet and Makerere University. He has served as a PI, co-investigator and project manager in a number of NIH and IAS funded studies since 2004. He has carried out studies on; the adaptation of cognitive assessments for Ugandan children, neuropsychological outcomes of infectious diseases and sickle cell disease on children and the interventions for these neuropsychological deficits.
