12th November 2015, the College of Health Sciences hosted a delegation from the East African Medical and Dental PractitionersÔÇÖ Council. The purpose of this visit was to assess suitability of the College to train dental and medical practitioners that can offer services in the whole region per set standards. This is in the spirit of the East African CommunityÔÇÖs desire of free movement of labour, including health workers. The visit involved a meeting and a tour of the key teaching and research facilities for students and staff. At the end of the visit, College was applauded for maintaining good training standards but advised to strengthen mostly the Dental training component.
