RAN Movie Night: Filming-Desert Flower | At the RAN Lab

Friday, March 11, 2016 - 17:00

Warm greetings for the week!

Ever appreciated and embraced the power of tolerance, commitment, focus, determination, hard work and being creative?

Makerere University School of Public Health ResilientAfrica Network (RAN) through its RAN4Girls program is pleased to invite all to view and thereafter engage in a discussion about the MOVIE-Desert Flower.

The movie star Waris Dirie, a Somali nomad was circumcised at 3, sold in marriage at 13, fled from Africa a while later to finally become an American supermodel and now at 38 years of age is serving as the UN spokeswoman against circumcision!

In all circumstances, never give-up. The Sky can indeed be the limit.

Date: Friday, March 11, 2016
Time: Onset 5:00 pm EAT
Venue: RAN Office Premises, Plot 30, Upper Kololo Terrace, Kampala Uganda
