8th Annual Scientific Conference of MakCHS

Dear colleagues, researchers, members of the Civil Society, On behalf of the Makerere University College of Health Sciences, I take this opportunity to invite you to the 8th Annual Scientific Conference (8ASC), scheduled to take place from Wednesday 26th ÔÇô Friday 28th September 2012 at Silver Springs Hotel, Kampala, Uganda. The theme of this yearÔÇÖs conference is ÔÇ£Health Care in Uganda: Past, Present & FutureÔÇØ, to depict the need for health care in Uganda. Attendance of this conference gives you an unequalled opportunity to disseminate your research findings or clinical/community experience to a diverse audience inclusive of leading doctors, researchers, policy makers, and members of the civil society from Uganda and abroad. You will also learn about recent developments in health/medicine including new treatments and patient management approaches, new diagnostics, emerging disease, new health policies, new community health approaches, etc. The conference is being organised by the Makerere University College of Health Sciences in collaboration with the Uganda National Council for Science & Technology (UNCST) to coincide with their Annual Science week; the Uganda National Association of Community and Occupational Health (UNACOH) ÔÇô to coincide with their 20th Annual Scientific Conference; and the 11th Dr. Mathew Lukwiya Memorial Lecture sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO).
