Call for Applications: ACHIEVE Research Training Program

ACHIEVE (Addressing the Research Capacity Gap in Global Child, Adolescent & Family Health Disparities Utilizing Implementation and Data Sciences among VulnerablePopulations in Resource-limited Settings) provides trainees with dissemination and implementation (D&I) and data science research skills and knowledge through experiential learning, mentoring, and “hands-on” immersion in global health implementation and data science research and methodologies

Program Overview
1-year appointment with 2-3 months within US-based lab and 9-10 month placement in Sub-Saharan Africa or other LMICs participating in the program

$10,000 research project seed funding

Mentored research training in global health D&I and data science research

Experiential learning in research and methodologies, individualized consultation, professional development and research and publication support

Eligibility Criteria for Sub-Saharan Africa Candidates

Interest in applying D&I and data science methodologies in a global health area, with special focus on projects related to: children, adolescents, and their caregiving families; parenting; HIV/AIDS; mental health; cancer; nutrition; and environmental health

Commitment to spending 2-3 months at one of the 4 U.S. based institutions

Must have completed a terminal degree (PhD, MBChB, etc.) within the last six years

Candidatesmustdemonstrateatrackrecordofexcellenceandpotentialtoexhibitresearchtrajectoryinacademia

Mustbeacitizenofoneofthefollowingnations: Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, SierraLeone, SouthAfrica, Uganda
