The East African DTM&H is a 3-month full-time course in evidenced-based medicine and international health. It is designed for postgraduate doctors planning a career in clinical research and practice in Africa. It is taught by over 100 staff from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and partner institutions. A professional diploma is awarded by LSHTM following course work and a final examination
This year’s course runs from Monday 27th August to Friday 23rd November. The first six weeks are based at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College in Moshi, Tanzania, and the second six weeks at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. There is a one-week break for half term.
