THE 4TH MakCHS ANNUAL DINNER AND ALUMNI REUNION

Makerere University College of Health Sciences students’ association (MakCHSA) the umbrella body for all students in the Makerere University College Of Health Sciences is organizing its 4th Annual Dinner combined with its 1st Alumni reunion which is scheduled for 24th March 2018 at Hotel Africana, starting at 6pm. The event is being organized for Staff, Alumni, Partners and Students of MakCHS. It is organized under the theme, “Reconnecting and Reuniting to impact the rebuilding of a great college and the health system of Uganda.”

MakCHSA is organizing this event through the Office of the Principal in partnership with various College Students' Associations;  Makerere University Medical Students’ Association (MUMSA), Makerere University Pharmacy Students’ Association (MUPSA) , Makerere University Biomedical Engineering Students’ Association (MUBESA) , Makerere University Nursing Students’ Association (MUNSA), Makerere University Radiology Students’ Association (MURSA), Makerere University Dental Students’ Association (MUDSA), Makerere University Biomedical Sciences Students’ Association (MUBSSA), Makerere University Cytotechnology  Students’ Association (MUCSA) , Makerere University Speech and Language Therapy Students’ Association (MUSLTSA), Makerere University Optometry Students’ Association (MUOSA), and Makerere University Environmental Health Sciences Students’ Association (MUEHSA).

All the Staff, Alumni, Partners and Students are cordially invited to be part of this event.

THE EVENT IS JOINTLY;

  • The Freshers' Ball: To welcome new students to the college. 
  • Alumni Club Formation: To help in the tracking and maintaining of the connection between the various college alumni and its students so as to open more opportunities to the continuing students, fresh graduates, fellow alumni and the college itself.
  • Finalists' Ball: To wish and celebrate farewell for the college final year students from the different courses and to help establish for them proper connections and opportunities as they spring out to help the community.

And to additionally;

  • Inspire college students in general about life outside campus through messages from motivational speakers.
  • Create a networking and communication opportunity between the various potential employers and the appropriate employees within the various disciplines within healthcare.
  • Motivate and inspire students’ participation in academic activities, social welfare demonstration and leadership carrier by awarding best students in different categories nominated.
  • Provide a platform to discuss the current status and the future of MakCHS so as to identify the gaps, suggest and develop the appropriate strategies necessary to bridge the identified gaps.
  • Provide the various partner companies, institutions and individuals with a platform to advertise and market themselves, their products and services during the event or to enter into partnership with the college for their different activities.
