Moses R. Kamya

Moses R. Kamya, MBChB, MMed, MPH, PhD. is a Professor of Medicine and currently the Chair of the Department of Medicine at Makerere University College of Health Sciences in Kampala, Uganda. He formally trained in internal medicine at Makerere University (1991) and in Epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley and has a PhD in Biomedical sciences from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He has been conducting research on malaria and HIV and the interactions between the two infections for over 20 years and has over 120 publications largely in this field. Read more about Moses R. Dickens Akena

Dr Dickens Akena is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University-Kampala. He trained as a Medical Doctor (MBChB) from Makerere University, Uganda 1998-2003. He later did his Master of Medicine in Psychiatry (M.Med Psych) at Makerere University-Kampala 2005-2008. His research focus is on clinical features of depression in HIV positive persons. He published these findings in the African Journal of Psychiatry, a peer reviewed journal. Fredrick Edward Makumbi

Fredrick Edward Makumbi is currently a Senior Lecturer and Departmental Chair, Epidemiology and Biostatistics-School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University-Kampala. He graduated with a Bachelor of Statistics (Bstat, Hons) at Makerere University Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (ISAE) in 1993, and a MHS (2000) and PhD (2004) degrees with majors in epidemiology and population studies from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Adoke Yeka

Dr. Adoke Yeka is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health, School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University-Kampala. He trained as a Medical Doctor (MBChB) from Makerere University, Uganda in 1994. He later did his Master of Public Health (MPH) at Makerere University School of Public Health in 2001. He is currently pursuing his PhD, at the university of Antwerp, Belgium. His research focus is on Malaria drug resistance and control. Read more about Adoke Yeka

Henry Wamani

MBChB MPhil PhD is Lecturer, Department of Community Health and Behavioural Sciences and Academic Coordinator, Master of Public Health Nutrition at the School of Public Health, Makerere University College of Health Science, Kampala. Henry trained as a Medical Doctor (MBChB) from Makerere University, Uganda in 1993. He later did Master of Philosophy in Health Sciences (Public Health Nutrition), 2003 and PhD (Nutrition Epidemiology and Health Inequities), 2005 at the University of Bergen, Norway.
