The School of Biomedical Sciences is one of the four schools in Makerere University College of Health Sciences. The school is composed of seven Departments namely;

  1. Anatomy
  2. Biochemistry
  3. Pathology
  4. Physiology
  5. Medical Illustration, 
  6. Clinical Pharmacology
  7. Therapeutics and Microbiology

The school has now (2011) been in existence for 3 years; a period of adjustment to changes, refocusing on the direction, vision and mission of the school and college at large.  
Vision:
The school subscribes to the Makerere University vision, which is; “To be the leading institution for academic excellence and innovation in Africa”.

Mission:
The school of Biomedical sciences  subscribes to the  College of Health Sciences mission which is “ College of Health Sciences exists to improve the health of the people of Uganda through innovative and responsive teaching, learning, research and provision of services.
